Developing commitment to Emergency Preparedness and preparedness culture. Senate Bill3 and Senate Bill 361/House Bill 805 review. How to develop an Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP) and EPP waiver process. Basic understanding of FEMA’s NIMS concepts. How to apply the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and Incident Command System (ICS) to water operations. State disaster assistance – Funding, TDEM, STARS. Recognize how to request disaster response and recovery assistance. How to develop a basic mutual aid agreement? Mutual aid agreements required by FEMA.
Plan for protecting critical system components against weather hazards or other emergency conditions.
